There is something special about connecting with others and being able to share all the things that you have learned in the past few years. It is why I decided to create a healthy fitness and living magazine that would allow me to share what I have learned in my health and fitness journey.
To tell the whole story, we must go to the very beginning. I was always a chubby kid growing up and that did not change until I got to college. In those four years, I changed everything about the way that I viewed eating and activity. I would join sports teams and clubs where I knew that I would be physically active. I made an effort to eat healthy meals, especially when I went into the dining hall and saw so many options.
As I began to lose weight and get to healthy level, I knew that I could start to build muscle mass as well. Then I started my weight lifting journey, which has helped me immensely. Now I am at a fantastic weight with very little body fat, which is what I had wanted from the very start!
A key reason why I started the magazine is because I want to do more than just help my own health. Of course, I talk about diet and fitness with people that I meet in my daily life. But it is even better when I am able to help strangers who may read my story and find inspiration to make changes in their life.
The magazine will focus on the steps that you can take to overcome your current eating and lifestyle habits. Whether you are eating too many sweets, fatty foods, not exercising enough or engaging in a bad habit such as smoking or excessive drinking, there will be plenty of tips on the site about how you can make positive changes to your life.
I believe that you can take control of your life if you get to a healthy weight. Not only will you feel better about yourself, but you will be able to try so many fun activities that you may have thought were not in your wheelhouse as a heavier person.
